If you’re looking for Wembley places to eat, Studio Five is the perfect place to stop. Our modern restaurant serves mouthwatering dishes and expertly mixed cocktails in a relaxed atmosphere, setting the scene for a great day or night out. Whether you’re heading to the theatre, seeing a concert at Wembley Stadium or enjoying a day of shopping and leisure, you’re sure to feel refreshed after a delicious meal or a drink at the bar. There’s more to Studio Five than meets the eye – with a rich history and a vibrant setting, we offer more than simply a place to satisfy your hunger. Here are seven things you may not know about us.
1. We share a roof with the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre
Our Wembley restaurant is located under the same roof as the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre, which has hosted some amazing productions since 2018. It’s currently home to Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Starlight Express, but has also been the home of Disney’s Newsies and Rambert’s Peaky Blinders.
2. We offer more than just pre- and post-show dining
While pre- and post-show dining is a core part of our offering, we also have an à la carte menu that our patrons can enjoy whenever they choose. In May 2025 we added a fantastic brunch menu featuring brunch classics with our signature Asian-inspired twist. This is served from 10am – 2pm on Sundays.
3. You can hire the restaurant
Studio Five is available for private hire. We’ve hosted everything from birthday parties to corporate functions and have capacity for up to 100 seated guests. There’s even a stage and space for live performances if you want to host musicians or entertainers.
4. The restaurant was once a sound stage
The site’s original Studio Five was opened in 1960, and until 2017 it was the largest purpose-built sound stage in the UK. It had space to accommodate a complete circus ring, a dance floor, a full-scale orchestra and an audience of 500. Films shot here include David Lynch’s The Elephant Man, Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back, and The Princess Bride.
5. Legends have walked the floors
A range of music legends have walked our floor, with David Bowie, Freddie Mercury, Mick Jagger, John Lennon and Nina Simone all filming here, either for music videos or television specials. In 1991, Freddie Mercury recorded his final music video here for These Are the Days of Our Lives.
6. The site is over 100 years old
The site on which the restaurant sits was originally part of the British Empire Exhibition, opened in April 1924 by King George V. The exhibition aimed to highlight the empire’s achievements and promote trade among the territories. At the time of writing, the Studio Five location is 101 years old!
7. You can enjoy live music here
We have a specially curated program of live music to entertain guests at weekends. Many of our regular artists perform covers for fans heading to concerts at Wembley Stadium. Summer 2025 will see evenings of Dua Lipa, Linkin Park, Lana Del Rey and Oasis covers.
If you’re heading out for Wembley Park food, don’t miss the uniquely flavourful menu and vibrant ambience at Studio Five.
